Introducing the inaugural Collectors’ Scarf for the 2025 Traditional Cowboy Arts Association (TCAA) Exhibition & Sale at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. Much like the museum’s iconic Prix de West bolos, these limited-edition scarves launch a new tradition for collectors, celebrating the artistry and legacy of the TCAA’s master craftsmen.
This year’s scarf honors Scott Hardy, a fifth-generation stockman from Alberta, Canada, who became a full-time silversmith in 1981 and went on to help found the TCAA in 1998. Known internationally for his flowing, sculptural Western engraving, Hardy has elevated functional cowboy gear into fine art. Beyond his studio, he has served as a TCAA President, officer, and Strategic Planning Chair, shaping the organization’s mission and inspiring future generations of artists.
The 2025 TCAA Exhibition & Sale marks its 26th year, featuring over 50 original works by 15 master artisans across saddle making, rawhide braiding, bit and spur making, and silversmithing. On view September 12 – October 12, 2025, the exhibition culminates in a special reception and sale September 26–27. Hardy himself will participate in the “Tradition of Craft” seminar, highlighting the artistry, mentorship, and dedication that continue to sustain cowboy traditions.
Featuring intricate scrollwork, Western floral motifs, and Hardy’s signature bold style, this scarf is more than an accessory, it’s a collectible piece of cowboy heritage. Whether worn, displayed, or treasured as a keepsake, it marks the beginning of a new tradition for TCAA collectors.
