About the Artist: Terri Kelly Moyers

Hometown: Riverside, California
3 Pieces in Show
36 Years in Exhibition

Terri Kelly Moyers cannot recall a time when she wanted to be anything other than an artist. With a lifelong love of drawing and painting, Moyers is fortunate to have studied with a number of fine artists including Robert Lougheed, Ned Jacob, Clarence Tillenius and Bob Kuhn. She made many trips to the Okanagan Game Farm in Penticton, British Columbia, Canada, from 1978 – 1982 to paint animals from life. Her continued dedication to painting from life outdoors has given her the mastery of light and form that she exhibits in her studio work.

In 2012, Moyers was the second woman ever to be awarded the Ann Noble Brown Prix de WestPurchase Award at the Prix de West Invitational Art Exhibition & Sale. In 2015 she was inducted into the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame in Fort Worth, Texas, for her extraordinary contribution to Western culture. Her work can be found in several galleries as well as the permanent collections of a number of prominent American art museums.

Most recently, Moyers received the 2020 Gene Autry Award from the Autry Museum of the American West’s Masters of the American West show and the 2019 Artists’ Choice Award from Eiteljorg Museum’s Quest for the West show. She lives in Los Angeles, California.
