About the Artist: Benjamin Wu

Born in 1961, Benjamin Wu studied art at the Guangzhou Fine Art Institute in China from 1978 – 1985. He came to the United States in 1986 and received his master’s degree from Academy of Art University (formerly Academy of Art College) in San Francisco in 1991.

Wu has participated in many shows and exhibitions including the International Salon Shows in San Antonio and Scottsdale; the Autry Museum’s Masters of the American West; and the Phoenix Art Museum’s West Select show. His works have garnered many awards including the Frederic Remington Painting Award at the 2019 Prix de West.

A featured artist in a number of issues of art magazines, Wu resides in San Francisco with his wife and daughter.
