Kerry Myers: Beadwork Artist + Filmmaker

Kerry Myers is a Comanche artist, filmmaker, and accomplished costume designer whose creative work spans both traditional Native beadwork and modern film. She began beading as a child in Cherokee, North Carolina, learning from her mother and community elders, and has carried that foundation of craft into a lifelong exploration of Native and contemporary art.
Kerry's handmade beaded hat bands, accented with leather and hide ties, reflect a deep reverence for place and heritage. Now based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, she draws her color palettes from the wildflowers she encounters on daily walks, honoring the land and weaving a personal story into each piece.
Alongside her visual art, Kerry’s work in film and television on projects like Reservation Dogs, Montford: The Chickasaw Rancher, and Better Call Saul further speaks to her talent for storytelling and design. Her hat bands are a tactile extension of that vision: grounded in Native tradition, shaped by years in costume and set work, and brought to life through color, pattern, and memory.
