artwork details

Encore 2015

This buckle, featuring a sculpted red gold Longhorn skull and flowers with 18K yellow gold scrolls woven through, has green gold beads and flower centers to provide detail color, all over a filigreed background. Drain added a red gold edge with yellow wire accents, and cropped the top of the oval to keep the cost reasonable and provide belly relief. Measuring 2 3/4 inches by 3 1/4 inches, the buckle accepts a 1 1/4-inch belt.
